For those with less time to spend in the State, this efficient self drive tour gives the flexibility of visiting Talkeetna, Denali National Park and Fairbanks on your own schedule. Easily combines with any cruise.

Arrive in Anchorage on your own and pick-up your full-size car that will be your transportation to Fairbanks.

(We use full size cars because they are very stable and can handle your luggage.)

Overnight in Anchorage.

Drive 115 miles to Talkeetna. Plan to arrive in the early afternoon for a thrilling Jetboat Safari on the Susitna River.

Overnight at Talkeetna.
Today’s trip covers 150 miles to Denali. Watch for great views of Mt. McKinley, along the way.

Overnight in Denali National Park.

Today is yours to schedule your personal exploration of the Park. Click Here for all the possible tour options you have to customize your stay in the park.

Overnight in Denali National Park.

There is plenty of time for more park activities, as today you drive only 125 miles to Fairbanks over the George Parks Highway. This evening enjoy the Alaska Salmon Bake (included).

Lunch is Included.

Overnight in Fairbanks.


This morning you may want to drive to the Eldorado Gold Camp to look at the mining history. Your tour this afternoon is aboard the sternwheeler riverboat Discovery. Included is a stop at an Indian village and a sled dog demonstration.

Tour ends upon returning your vehicle to the Fairbanks airport.
