Provide Recourse To Privacy Related Complaints

Although DMCi Inc. takes all reasonable means to protect your personal information, DMCi Inc. is not responsible for any improper use of your personal information that is out of our reasonable control. If you believe that DMCi Inc. has not complied with this Privacy Policy with respect to your personal information, the easiest method of complaint is to communicate directly with the compliance officer, as stated previously, via letter, fax, email or telephone. In most cases, complaints can be satisfied within a reasonable amount of time. DMCi Inc. will investigate your complaint and take all measures to facilitate promptly.

If for some reason the individual is not satisfied with their complaint resolution by the Privacy Compliance Officer, the legislation allows the dispute to be heard by a Privacy Commissioner. If still not satisfied, the dispute may be heard in court using “summary” proceedings. These courts are empowered to make a summary award of damages against anyone who breaches the legislation.
