Niagara Falls – White Water Walk

Highlights

Visitors will experience the fury of Niagara River’s Class 6 rapids at close quarters at White Water Walk.  This ferocious Class 6 Whirlpool Rapids is formed by the trillions of gallons of water that pours through the narrow gorge. The water that travels through the rapids here clock in at about 48 kilometers per hour.

An elevator takes visitors down 70 meters (230 feet) down through a tunnel and then out onto the boardwalk. The boardwalk runs for 1,000 feet and contains stairs with two viewing areas to witness the rapids at full speed at the very edge of the river.  The White-Water walk is like no other.  Visitors will walk along a boardwalk at the very edge of one of the world's wildest stretches of white-water!  Awe at the relentless power and beauty of nature and see how the deep and narrow Great Gorge was created.  White Water Walk is a mere 4 km north of the Falls, on the WEGO bus route, near the Whirlpool Bridge. Within walking distance of the Niagara Falls Ontario train and bus stations. Free parking available.
