Relax and enjoy the ride along the Icefields Parkway, one of the most beautiful picturesque drives in the world. This excursion allows you to focus on the amphitheatre of mountains rising above because you don't have to navigate or watch the road. Keep a look out for animals around the forest's boundaries. Enjoy a hearty mountain meal and a photo stop at Bow Lake, one of Banff National Park's largest glacier-fed lakes, with the Crowfoot Glacier as a backdrop. Along the Icefields Parkway, you'll also see spectacular Peyto Lake (when access permits) and lower Waterfowl Lake, a lovely glacier lake set behind Mt Chephren. Drive across the surface of this glistening sheet of ice in the Ice Explorer (a six-wheeled behemoth of a vehicle). You will have the opportunity to drink pure, cool glacier water if you are thirsty.
