Your Alaskan journey begins in Anchorage, a city where urban comfort meets the edge of the wild. Upon landing, transfer, to a downtown hotel. You will feel the crisp, clean air and see the snow-capped Chugach Mountains framing the skyline. The afternoon is yours to settle in and explore the charming shops of 4th Avenue.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local landmark, the Glacier Brewhouse (not included in the package). You can enjoy fresh Alaskan seafood or hearth-oven pizzas here while discussing the adventure ahead. This first night offers the perfect blend of relaxation and luxury to start your exploration of the Last Frontier.

Your day begins with a scenic journey south from Anchorage aboard the Girdwood Express. This professional shared shuttle follows the Seward Highway, a route famous for its dramatic views of the Turnagain Arm and the snow-dusted Chugach Mountains. Your first stop is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where you will see muskox, wood bison, and brown
bears in a safe, spacious setting. It is a fantastic opportunity for photography and learning about Alaska’s natural history. Afterward, the shuttle continues to the alpine village of Girdwood. You will board the Alyeska Tramway to soar 2,300feet above the valley floor to the mountain summit. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic 360-degree views of hanging glaciers and towering peaks.
After a day of mountain adventure, you will board the afternoon shuttle for a comfortable return to Anchorage, arriving in time for dinner at one of the city’s premier restaurants.

After breakfast make your own way to Anchorage train station for a classic Alaskan experience as you board the Alaska Railroad’s Aurora Winter Train. You will settle into a comfortable seat with large windows designed for sightseeing. As the train moves north, you can watch for moose in the
willow thickets and admire the frozen Susitna River. The train features a dining car where you can enjoy a warm meal while the landscape glides by. This is a relaxed and social way to travel, allowing you to connect with other adventurers. By afternoon, you will arrive in Talkeetna, a colorful pioneer village known for its eccentric charm and artistic spirit. You can walk the historic main street and soak in the views of the Alaska Range, which towers on the horizon.

After returning to Earth, the adventure continues at a champion sled dog kennel. You will meet the incredible huskies that run the Iditarod trail. You can hear stories from professional mushers and feel the power of the team as they pull you through a snowy forest trail. It is a day filled with high-energy fun and breathtaking sights that define the spirit of the great North.

The drive back to Anchorage takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, offering a final opportunity to spot moose along the highway and admire the serene winter forest. Your driver will provide a seamless transition from the quiet
charm of Talkeetna to the bustle of the city, dropping you off directly at the Anchorage International Airport (ANC) terminal. You will arrive with ample time for check-in, carrying home unforgettable memories of Alaska’s winter magic.
