Explore the nature and history of Quebec. Take the Rabaska canoe and paddle through the Lake Como and learn about the beavers and the moose.  For your safety, it is recommended that you watch the black bears in their natural habitat from the watchtower. You can make a trip to the smokehouse and practise the methods for fishing, trapping, and hunting at an Aboriginal site. Walk along an interpretive path and learn about the medicinal plants, trees, and forest dwellers.

How to get to this Attraction:

From Chicoutimi (26.4 km):
Take Rang Saint Paul to QC-170 E. Head northeast. Turn left. Turn right onto Rang Saint Paul. Follow QC-170 E to La Baie. Turn right onto QC-170 E. Turn right to stay on QC-170 E (signs for Québec 170/La Bale). At the
roundabout take the 2nd exit and stay on QC-170 E. Drive to Chemin des Chutes. Turn right, then turn right onto Chemin des Chutes. The destination will be on the right.

From Tadoussac (152 km): 
Follow Rue de la Falaise, Rue des Forgerons and Rue Sous la Croix to QC-138 E. Head west on Rue Dupont Gravé toward Rue de la Falaise. Turn left onto Rue de la Falaise. Turn right onto Rue des Forgerons. Continue onto Rue Sous la Croix. Drive from QC-172 O to La Baie, Saguenay. Turn right onto QC-138 E. Turn left onto QC-172 O. Continue onto Boulevard de Tadoussac (signs for Québec 175 S/Autoroute 70). Merge onto QC-175 S. Continue straight onto Boulevard Saint-Paul. Turn left to merge onto Autoroute 70 E toward Québec/La Baie. Continue straight onto QC-170 E (signs for La Baie). At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on QC-170 E. Drive to Chemin des Chutes. Turn right, then turn right onto Chemin des Chutes. The destination will be on the right.

Notes about this Tour

  • Children under 5 years of age are not allowed.
  • Guests are recommended to call and confirm directly with the Supplier 24 hours prior to the attraction date. 
  • Guests must arrive 20 minutes prior to the time mentioned on their voucher.
  • You will be attending a Black Bear information session prior to you leaving for the bear observation activity. After this activity, return to the main chalet.
